Terms of Service — Project Brackish

Acceptance

By creating an account or using Project Brackish, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

The service

Project Brackish is an operations platform for farm and harvest businesses, currently in beta. Features may change, and access is provisioned at our discretion.

Your account

You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
You must be at least 18 years old and acting on behalf of a real business or cooperative.
You may not share accounts. Each user needs their own login.

Your data

You retain ownership of the data you enter. You grant us the limited license needed to host, process, and display it back to you and to other authorized members of your workspace. See the Privacy Policy for how we handle it.

Acceptable use

Don't use the service to violate any law or regulation, including environmental, harvest, or labor laws applicable to your operation.
Don't attempt to compromise the security of the platform or other users' workspaces.
Don't upload malware or use the service to send spam or abusive content.

Compliance reporting

The platform helps you maintain records (e.g., CDFW fishing block reporting for wild harvests). You remain solely responsible for the accuracy of records submitted to any regulator. We provide tools, not legal advice.

Beta service

The service is provided "as is" during beta. We make no warranties of fitness for a particular purpose. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Project Brackish and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or profits arising from use of the service.

Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On termination, you may request an export of your data within 30 days.

Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
